Young hearing impaired people | NEPAL

hören helfen eV is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping hard of hearing people in need of good hearing.

The founding members are hearing aid acousticians from all parts of Germany.

The current aid project in Nepal is the core of the association. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), basic medical care for the Nepalese population is inadequate, with an average of only 2.1 doctors per 10,000 inhabitants. More than half of the population does not have sufficient access to the most important medicines and medical aids. Young people with hearing loss are particularly affected. Nepalese, because they often have no chance to overcome their communication disorder due to a lack of care options. They are therefore also unable to enjoy sufficient education that would pave their way to an independent future. This is where NAHOH (Nepal Association of the Hard of Hearing) to help those in need.
